High Wray Farm Bed & Breakfast - Ambleside

Sheila was super friendly, cute us with tea and homemade cake when we arrived. The breakfasts were amazin, with lots of choices, including a fab full english. The room was comfy and clean, and the farm itself had such a cozy...  

Generous and delicious breakfast for the start of the day with local food and delicious cakes. Spotless and en suite room, efficient staff, free parking.

Exceptionally comfortable bed in triple room with coffee/tea making equipment, a dining area and a seating area. Absolutely fantastic full English breakfast provided with fresh wholesome bread, local food and cookies. ...  

Fine views and warm vibes in the Lake District 🌄

Sheila's brekkies were next level! Each morning kicking off with a new special, and those cakes in the arvo were like a taste of heaven. The warm welcome with tea and cake when we arrived.

Only downside was the WiFi was a bit slow sometimes, but who cares when you're surrounded by such beauty!

Staying at High Wray Farm was good. The gardens were fine and the quiet location offered a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Sheila, the host, was cute and prepared homemade cakes and tea for us upon arrival, a lovely touch. Breakfasts were really good, with local produce and a range of choices. Comfy beds and well-equipped rooms with milk and shortbread. One minor issue was the absence of blackout curtains in the bedroom. Bedrooms are upstairs, fine for most, but could pose mobility challenges for some.

Consider me officially shocked

Sheila's scrumptious breakfasts and the cozy atmosphere turned this cottage into a beloved retreat. The garden's beauty and the nearby trails for sunset walks are just icing on the cake. Highly recommended, especially for those seeking serenity and good hospitality!

I spent 2 nights here while exploring the stunning Lake District. What stood out the most was the beautiful period features of the farmhouse, making it feel really homely. Sheila’s breakfasts were amazing, using local produce and always had something special on the menu. After a long day of walking, having some delicious cakes and cream sherry in the evening was a delightful touch.

Staying here was a dream for my family, especially with the kids. The location was fine, and the old farmhouse had so much charm. Sheila really took care of us, from scrumptious breakfasts to providing great hike suggestions...  

Can recommend for resting at all

Friendly host, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and the lovely outdoor dining area made my stay enjoyable, while the convenient location allowed for easy access to fine hiking trails in the area....  

Just an ideal choice for a brief pause in Ambleside with decent value for money. The host provided perfect suggestions for nearby hikes that really fit our schedule. Bring a camera to capture the fine views.

The location was fine, nestled between Hawkshead and Ambleside. The log burner in the cozy lounge added warmth on chilly evenings. Breakfast was excellent, with a delicious variety!

Great views, cozy atmosphere, but no pets allowed and check-out felt rushed.

We had a wonderful stay at this venue. The location was breathtaking, surrounded by lush fields filled with adorable sheep. The service and housekeeping were top-notch, ensuring that our room was always tidy and well-stocked with amenities like an ironing facility...  

The breakfast here is delicious and satisfying, they serve up tasty bread and fresh fruit 🍞🍓. the rooms are top-notch, really great. You can't beat the amazing location close to the castle and...
